Home, My Safe Place
A house is a building, a place with walls and a roof, an empty place to fill with your things to make it home. Home is a feeling of love and warmth.
I feel the love and warmth when I'm cuddled up on my couch with a cozy fire roaring in the fireplace while I watch movies and play games with my family.
Home is a place where I feel safe and warm. My pets, my two dogs and three cats make me feel safe and warm when I'm cuddled up in my bed. When I come home to my dogs they jump up and say hello. They go crazy when I come home from school which makes me feel loved. I love them so much.
I know that at home if I've had a rough day I can go to my mom at home, my safe place and she’ll give me a big hug and make me feel better about everything.
A house is a structure, a place to live but it's not home. Home to me is a safe place with love and support, a place with your pets and your family, your belongings, and your safe place.
