The Light in a Home
Imagine walking down a cold dark void and you look around. There's a light far in the distance, a small warm light, glowing brighter and brighter each second. That small light is a home, a small, warm, safe place.
Picture you walking closer to that small light. As you walk to it you feel warmer, safer, happier, and more loved. If you look around you see one more light flickering on. Then you look behind you, there are thousands of lights and the void starts glowing and it's a road. The glowing grows bigger and bigger.
Now you’re standing in the middle of the neighborhood. Kids run around playing. You feel warm, fuzzy and happy like you’re wrapped in your favorite blanket. It is quiet but not loud, and then all the moms sing out, “Dinner is ready!” All the kids run in. Then, all of the lights flick off one by one, but one light stays on, the living room light.
The whole family gathers around the table and they play cards. The laughter is the best sound. The light in the living room flicks off now. It is our dreams and warmth. Next, one of the family moves and the light in that home slowly turns off, that home just turned into a house. But it will forever be a home in their heart. A loving neighborhood filled with homes, not houses.
