Habitat for Humanity: Writing about Home
I am going to be explaining about my home and what it means to me. The word home to me means a safe place where I can be happy, loved, and a place where I can be supported and express my true feelings. That is what the word home means to me. Home doesn't just mean the house you live in, it means much more than that. Lots of people can describe the word home differently. Not all people are going to describe it like I did, because some people don’t have a safe place to call home like I do. That is why I am writing about my home, because I am wishing to raise some money for the non-profit group called, Habitat for Humanity. They raise money for people who do not have a safe place to call home.
My home is in a town called Redcliff. Redcliff is found in southeastern Alberta, Canada. That is where my true home is. My home is surrounded by kind hearted people like my friends, family and even random people, because everyone is kind and deserving even if they don’t look the part. My house is where my family and I could be found, even though some people would say that is their home, their actual home is the environment around them. Of course, your house can be found in your home.
My home is all over the town of Redcliff because I have grown up in the town of Redcliff since I was born. So that is why I classify the town of Redcliff as my home. My favorite part about my home is the people that can be found in it and my surroundings. No matter what, I always feel safe, happy, and cared for, because I am. Also in my home I have lots of friends that care for me and that I care for them.
The main reason why I feel safe is because my home is a safe, quiet place to live and enjoy life in. In my home there are tons of fun parks and places to go and hang out with friends and family. Also my home is not just safe and has lots of caring people, it is also fun in my home. Some people don’t have a safe home and a home with caring people and they probably don’t have very much fun. Some people like me and lots of others care for people who don’t have a safe home.
L . Frank Baum, from The Wonderful Wizard of Oz famously wrote, “There is no place like home.” My home is my favourite place. Some of the places include parks, my school, my house, my friends houses, and lots more places. I love my home because it is a safe home, a thrilling home, a loving home, and a caring home. To me home is the best place to be. Know matter what or where your home is, it is always important to you, and your family. Thank you for reading about what my home means to me.
