A House Isn't the Same as a Home

A house is a roof over your head, But a home is where love is spread. A house is a place with rooms and stairs, But a home is a place where love fills the air. A house is a place with halls and chairs, But a home is where tight hugs are shared. A house has walls painted or bare, But a home is where people care. A house is made of brick and wood, But a home is where you are understood. A house is a place to sleep and eat, But a home is where you're complete. A house is where you arrive, But a home is where you thrive. A home is where you smell the baking of bread, or the sound of children playing. With memories playing in my head I always think of the joy that keeps on staying. Thank you, Habitat for Humanity.
