Meaning Of Home

Have you ever seen someone sleeping on the street? Well I have and that makes me really appreciate the home I have. My family, my bedroom, and my community are just a few things I am very grateful for. I love my room with my comfortable bed and my window. In the winter I can see the CN Tower. I think the CN Tower is a piece of art. Speaking of art I have a plastic box that holds all my art supplies. My window looks out to a laneway. If you walk down the laneway and cross the street you will arrive at Wychwood Barns. Every Saturday there is a market where farmers sell fresh fruits and vegetables and bakers sell pastries. While, artists sell all types of art. There also is an art barn where each artist has a room. There is a theatre where they put on plays for younger kids and a daycare just upstairs. My family and I spend a lot of time at the Wychwood Barns. My sister Leni is 5 years old. My sister and I play all different games whether it’s mario kart or seeing who can run to the kitchen faster. My family comes to everyone of my basketball games. My dad has to because he is one of the coaches. Even though my mom doesn’t always understand, she is doing everything she can to cheer for the right team. But my sister would rather sit around watching her iPad than to watch me kick butt in basketball. I’d like to remind you that a home doesn’t have to have a roof or door. Home is where your love is stored. For me home is where my family is, my community, and my bedroom. What are some things that make your home special?
