A Home is More than a House

A home is not just a house. A home is a place with love, laughter, hope and kindness. When I am home, I smell the lovely food my mom makes in the kitchen. I also hear the laughing in my living room and see the joy in the air. A home has fun, friends and family everywhere. A home also has pets and family that love you in every way. A home has good times and bad times, but you have your family, friends and pets to help you in those bad times. In a home you can feel love and joy in your heart. If you are in a rough time in school, you know when you get home your family will come and help you. If you are nervous about something like a test the next day your family will help you calm down. A home has more than walls of brick and cement. A home is a place of joy, love and happiness. This is why a home is more than a house.
