What Home Means to Me

To me a home is more than just a roof and four walls. It's where I feel loved, like when I watch movies with my family, and when I bake pancakes with my dad. It’s also when I go out with my family because I feel love, joy and happiness: like when I come home from school, I smell my mom cooking a delightful meal for dinner, a delicious chocolate cake for desert, or when we go to my grandma and grampa’s house in Brazil. My grandma makes delicious food like chicken, spaghetti, Jello and more. I also feel happy when I play with my brother Alex, because he makes fun games. I feel happy and excited when I play hockey because it’s my favorite sport. I also feel happy when I do ballet, baseball, piano, soccer and more. I also like when I go to my grandparents house because my whole family comes to have dinner together. And finally, my favorite thing to do as a family is get a Slurpee and go to the park in the summertime. So that's why to me a home is more than just a place, it’s like a big warm, welcoming, and loving hug.
