A House is Not a Home

A house is not a home. It’s what’s in the house that makes a home. Me sitting on the couch with a blanket doing homework. My little brother sitting next to me watching Bluey, putting his head on my shoulder. The smell of my grandmother’s homemade chocolate chip cookies getting baked. Having family game nights, the feeling of laughter fills the air. My comfy bed with a silk pillow. What makes a home is when I get home from school or dance and my dog gives me kisses. Just remember that a house is not a home, a home has love.
