Meaning of Home Essay

Home can mean lots of different things to people. For me home means love, happiness and family. Here are my reasons why I feel this way. In my home, there is a lot of love. People in my home love me very much. The love in my home is very warm and inviting. When you enter my home you get a feeling that is colourful and bright. There is always someone wanting to know about how my day went and that makes me feel special. There is love in my home because there are always memories in the making. We make memories by spending time together. We learn and have fun all the time. In my home there is a lot of happiness. To me, happiness means joy. Joy comes in lots of different forms. Baking cookies when it is cold outside, learning how to sew with my Mom or helping my dad build something in the garage are a few of my favourite past memories that bring me joy. After a busy day, my home can also be calm and peaceful. The delicious smell of my favourite supper, Asian stir fry, is such a happy feeling to me. Dinner at the table leads to a nice warm shower and cozying up on the couch for a movie. My family likes to watch all types of movies. My favourite movie is “Nancy Drew and the Underground Staircase.” Finally, in my home, we love family activities. Monopoly and Monkey Blast are two of my favourite games we play. We love to swim in our pool and we use our pool a lot in the summer. In conclusion, my version of home is love, happiness and family. These are just a few examples for you to see why.
