What Home Means To Me
As I grow older, it becomes clearer to me that my home is a special place. It is more than the place I live. My home is a place where I always feel safe and comfortable. For me and many others, home is not just the building we live in but the people around us. Without my family my home wouldn't comfort me like it does. I am lucky that I have the family I have.
Many other kids who have a sibling would say that their sibling is just annoying. If I said that, it would be a lie. My sister has been one of the nicest people in my life. Whenever I'm sad she can always make me laugh, and whenever a joke won’t work, she knows to let me be alone.
My parents are the greatest parents I could ever ask for. Even though they don’t buy me everything I want and they tell me to do things that I don’t always want to do, they are still great parents. After I do what they’ve asked, I always realise that they were right and that they just want me to be happy.
For me, home is not just a place. It is a word for comfort and family. Because I have a home and a loving family, I feel terrible for the people without homes, without families, or without both. I am very glad I have the opportunity to help someone in need.
