What Home Is

To me a home is not a house. Home is not four walls. To me a home is what and who you love. A home to me is always having friends, family, company, school, and childhood memories, whether you are in school or just at home. Being able to have food and water. Having clothes appropriate to all different kinds of weather. And having footwear. Going to school and being part of a community. Coming home from school and your family asks “how was your day?” To me that makes a good home. Having a bed and warmth. To be able not to worry, being safe, and to be able to do things you love and still be able to be safe. To do sports and hobbies with equipment to do them. Also being able to spend time with family. Going for walks.Being able to stay busy in a good way. My family is a family of five, and I am the oldest out of 3 kids. We are an active family. We have biked the island in two summers, we go camping in the summer, we ski cross country and downhill, and we are all involved with many sports. Without these activities we would not be as busy and we would be bored. To me that sounds and is pretty fun. A home is being able to have fun, be active, be safe, have family, and friends. Going to your friend's house for a couple of hours or even just seeing them. To me that is pretty cool; seeing your friends out of school. This is what home is!
