Meaning of Home

Home is where the heart is, where all the memories are made to be treasured. My home is like a warm cup of hot chocolate on a cold, winter day. My home means everything to me. I get my own kind of comfort and love at home that cannot be replaced. My home gives me the kind of comfort and love that I cannot experience anywhere else. Being at home with my family is the best feeling. I can be loved, I can be loud, I can be silly but most of all, I can be myself. Wherever I go, I still miss my home. I love listening to the laughter and chatting of my family. My home keeps me warm on a cold day because it provides me with shelter, love and protection. My home has so many memories of me, all my first experiences from a baby to now. My home has this sense of comfort with love and protection. That love and protection is through the laughter, hugs, and kisses. My home has a familiar, comforting smell. I can smell the scent of Frankincense, which reminds me of citrus and the comfort food my mom makes. Upon entering the door, I can taste the pleasant smells coming from the kitchen and can guess what is cooking. Those are familiar scents to me because it always makes me feel so relaxed and it puts me in a good mood. At the end of a long day, there is no place I would rather be than in my own home, sitting on my big comfy rocking chair and being entertained by my loud family laughter and chatting, while munching on something delicious. I truly believe, there is no place like home!
