What is Home?

A house has four walls, but a home is a place filled with laughter and happiness. A house keeps you dry from rain, but a home drowns you with love. A house has air conditioning, but a home has warmth. A house has a living room, but a home is where you and your family can enjoy a nice cup of hot chocolate by the warm fireplace. A house is filled with lights, but when you're at home you feel lightness. A house has a kitchen, but a home has warm delicious food mom made with all her heart. A house has a porch, but a home is a place where you and your family can celebrate together and play board games. A house has rooms and walls, but a home has privacy and respect. A house has a backyard, but a home has a beautiful garden. Author's Note When I’m at home I feel like I’m the luckiest girl in the world because I have a family that loves and supports me. Most people think a home is just a place with a roof but it’s so much more than that. Yes, it has a roof but it’s also a place surrounded with people you love and people who bring you joy. When I feel down I know I can talk to my family about anything. Thank you Habitat For Humanity!
