A House is Not the Same for Everyone

My home is a house but that is not the same for everyone. The house I live in has my favourite bedroom with my squishy, crazy soft bed that feels like you are melting into it when you lay down. My bedroom has a bookshelf with my favourite books, even though I have not read all of them. My closet has my favourite clothes that I mix and match for a new outfit every day. The bedroom that I sleep in has my projector that I watch every night. The projector that scared me the first time I turned it on due to the loud ear-ringing noise it made. This is a part of my house but also a part of my home. But for some people their bedroom is the place to go for a silent time to do nothing in. For some people, their room is just an open place in their living room, or a bedroom is just another place they must share with their sibling. My house has my upstairs living room where I talk to my family after a long day and where I have lots of laughs when we share what we did today. We also crack jokes so good to the point where my dad says that is a real knee slapper. The downstairs living room is where I share the giggles and chuckles that are so bad they make me cry after I watch one of my favourite shows on tv. The downstairs living room is where I lounge around and colour while watching my phone and this is one part of my house, but it is also a part of my home. But for some people their living room is just another open spot that is extremely loud because of too many people in the house. Or just a spot that is as lonely as can be because of no one in the house. My kitchen is where I make my most valued and enjoyed meals and where I help my mom make dinner after a long day for my family of four including me. The kitchen is where I come home from school and have a snack while talking to my brother. The island in the kitchen is where I sit down after school and do my studying and any homework if I have it. This is a part of my house but also a part of my home. But for some people their kitchen is where they sit and eat dinner with a silent room around them. Or for some people their kitchen is where they struggle to find food because their family does not have enough money. I want to say thank you to Habitat for Humanity for putting on this contest. At the end of all my paragraphs you see what a home can be like for some people. With this contest Habitat for Humanity can fix more of these homes for an amazing family to live in. So, one last time thank you to Habitat for Humanity for putting on this contest.
