What Lies in Home
I walked into my house one night after school feeling lucky—lucky to have a nice, warm home to sleep in every night. I see the moon shining brightly and the stars glow boldly outside. I see a dim flicker of light in the skies and wonder what it could be.
When I thought of the millions of people who had been either displaced by a fire or simply couldn’t afford a home, I felt slightly sad. After I thought of that, I thought of the people who were facing dangerous problems, like the raging wars and that they had to flee the country as refugees and had no place to live and the people in isolated countries like North Korea.
I go up the stairs and walk into my secret room (which is not-so-secret when you find out it is in the closet) Then I grab my computer and do the homework I need to do and I pin my eyes to my arsenal of NERF guns which was standing out boldly in the LED lights behind it.
After dinner, I sat on the couch, switched on the TV and enjoyed a short film. After all that, I sprinted upstairs and energetically finished the final pieces of my LEGO set.
Bedtime was here and I showered, brushed my teeth, and then went to sleep peacefully, slipping away into my dreams.
This is the story of my home and what lies in it.
