The Comfortable House of Peace

I walk into my house towards the hallway. As I walk down the long hallway, I feel the soft texture of the floorboards beneath my feet. When I get to my room, I cuddle up on my bunk bed with a book. My home is so peaceful. As I'm reading, my dog comes in and hops into the bottom bunk with me. I pet her black soft fur and sigh. As I sit down, I hear the loud clinking on soda and "Cheers!" When I take my first bite of spaghetti, I am deeply submerged in how delicious it is. We talk and talk about how our day went and what bad things and good things happened. Home means to be strung tightly together with other people in the family even when family members are having hard times. As I take my last bite, I wish there had been more food. As I clear my plate, I say "Thank you!" to my dad for making the delicious food. I walk over to the soft, comfortable couch and sit down on its comfortable cushions. I pick up my favourite book, and I am quickly deeply engrossed in it until my mom calls ‘’Time for bed!’’ I get out of the comfortable couch and walk back down the long hallway and into my room. As I hop into my warm, made bed, I hear the soft sweet singing of my mom singing my sister's goodnight song. My dad comes in and says "Goodnight!" I hear the flip of a switch and everything is dark. Home means to feel safe at all times. Home means that you feel loved at all times. At home you feel accepted. And when I’m at home, I feel all of those things. I love my home!
