Meaning of Home

When I come out of my room for breakfast I smell my grandma making my favorite food called roti. In my culture we eat roti with a type of soup that is called Dail and there is another type of soup called Subjee which is filled with vegetables and wonderful spices. As I look up and I hear the “dum dum” sound as my mom and dad give me a warm smile to start my wonderful day. I also see my brother coming down to the kitchen with a huge smile on his face. As I get my food, wonderful smells come into my body. As I take one bite I get many sweet and spicy flavours filling my mouth to make a delicious bite of my favorite meal. I Then, I went to my living room. I went on my cozy couch and I turned on the warm camYou fire. When I dropped into the couch it felt like there were a million soft pillows below me with my blanket on top of me. I also could feel the warmth of the campfire, it was like outside and the heat was not too cold, not too warm. It was just right. When I got on the couch and turned on the campfire, I thought to myself, this is my home. Then my mom came and gave me a warm hug that lit up my day. When I sit on my couch and when my mom gives me a warm hug I feel most loved. Home is where I feel most loved. Everyday I love my home, most importantly the thing that makes home, home is when my mom and dad give me their hugs and kisses. This is why I know this is my home.
