Meaning of Home

At home I smell, taste, see, hear, and feel so many different things. My home smells of bright yellow and dark red flowers. They smell like a scented candle just exploded and the flowers ate up the smell. Home is scrumptious Mac ‘n Cheese and delicious taco Tuesday. To other people home may be walls and furniture. But to me it’s a place where I see my family. I see them when I get out of bed, or when I come home from school. My moms gentle voice makes me feel like I’m floating on a cloud. But my sister's ear piercing screaming makes me feel like a volcano just erupted fiercely. When my mom’s hugging me I feel like I’m wrapped in a warm cocoon waiting to hatch. As soon as I walk through the front door my home is like a shield protecting me from the outside world. Inside I hear lots of laughter. It feels like someone put an everlasting spell to make my family and I laugh forever. Those are the things that home is to me.
