What Home Means to Me
Home to me is where my loving and caring family is. Home is more than a roof and four walls. Home is more than Materialistic things. Home is where the air is filled with joy, laughter and excitement. Home is where you make unforgettable memories, like when my baby sister took her first steps, and where we make cookies as a family and much more.
Home to me is where I feel safe, I matter and I’m more than just a person. To my parents, I'm much more. When I’m home I don't have to worry, I can tell them everything that's on my mind.
Home is where we do family traditions together, like putting up my Christmas tree, stringing all of the bright vibrant colours on each branch and listening to Christmas music blasting in the background. It’s where we carve pumpkins each year together. This year was my baby sister's very first Halloween and we all had a blast carving pumpkins, with the sounds of laughter and the aroma of pumpkins filling the air.
I am unbelievably grateful for the home that I have and for the memories that I can make and cherish with my family. I can lay my sleepy head down at night knowing that I'm safe and loved. I love the way life at home is and I could never imagine it any other way.
