What Home Means To Me By Willow Disher Grade 6

If I was asked what home meant to me I would say, home means a place where I can find peace, love, happiness and my family. Home can mean so much to a person, it can be difficult to describe, so let me try with this essay. I feel safe in my home because my parents are always around to help me if I have a problem or question. I have a roof over my head, food and clothes. I am very thankful for my parents taking care of me. I feel heard and loved in my home given that I have many people that are here for me and I will always have someone to talk to about how I feel as they do with me. The reason I feel loved in my home is my family. I feel they will always have a spot in their heart for me and will love me even if I am having a bad day. My family will always make me feel heard, they are always there for me. I feel and find comfort in the presence of my home because I have many spaces that I can go to feel cozy in. There’s my room, the living room, and many other spaces where I can chill out and be myself. I also find comfort from the people that live with me. I am able to find happiness in my home, I am able to come out of my shell and be myself. It's easy for me because I am around the people I am comfortable and feel safe with. I am able to find peace and I will always be allowed to talk to someone whenever I need to. This is what home means to me; it means family. Home is where I am able to find love, happiness, comfort and safety.
