I'm From

I’m from Friday movie nights with pizza hotline, 7-Eleven, and sometimes, sushi. I’m from delicious cooking from my mom, soft mammon, and canton/pancit with so many toppings on Sunday nights. I’m from cold winter evenings that give my feet and hands frostbite! And from hot summer mornings that make me sweat when I'm outside! I’m from orange leaves that fall from all the trees. From beautiful flowers that grow in spring, but bring bee’s that could sting me if I come too close. I’m from the smell of cardboard everytime I walk into the basement, the sight of seeing my family after school, the feeling of grass when I go out. I’m from the sounds of trees and bushes, rustling in the dark when we go camping. And from the sounds of the types of activities me and my siblings do in the morning, like hide and seek, or tag! I’m from Winnipeg, My home, Me.
