My Home
My home is big, my home is small,
It has some windows, maybe tall.
The door is brown or maybe blue,
And inside smells like yummy stew!
The couch is soft, the floor is cold,
My bed is warm, my pillow’s old.
The dog sleeps here, the cat does too,
They like to chase and crash—oh phew!
My toys are lost, I don’t know where,
Maybe under the kitchen chair?
Mom says clean, I say, “not now,”
She gives me The Look—I clean somehow
I walk in and see my sister she says
“what's up mister,” we go out and get
Something to eat as we go to the beach
With the sand in between our feet
Home is fun, home is bright,
Home is where I sleep at night.
It’s the best place, I just know—
And I hope it never goes!
