Ellie's Home

Once upon a time there lived a girl named Ellie. She looked just like her mom, at least that's what her dad says. Ellie's mom died when she was three. Ellie lived in a town called Kingsville. She lived in the same town that she was born in. Her father couldn't sell the home because he felt sad leaving a memory of his wife, but Ellie on the other hand, always wanted to move to another place. One day, her dad got a job in the big city. They would be moving. Her dad told her, "oh honey, we're going to move to our new house in the big city in three months!" Ellie was so excited. She couldn't believe she finally go to go to a new home. Three months later, they moved. When Ellie finally got to the new home, she was so excited. Her dad told her she would be starting school in one month. She was a little sad because she she missed her friends, but she forgot about that by the next day because she was excited, too. The feeling came back, though, and soon she was missing home so badly that she felt sick. She tugged on her dad's shirt and asked if they could go home yet. Her dad told her they weren't going there because they had moved and asked why she wanted to go home. He said, "after all you were the one who wanted to move in the first place." She used to be the one jumping up and down so excited. Ellie looked down at the ground and said she missed the feeling of the old house. Later that day, her dad told her that they were gonna go home, but right now he had to finish his work. Ellie nodded.
