A house has a roof that covers you, but when the rain pours down into all the rooms, the roof may not cover you. On the other hand, a home keeps you silky dry and does not soak up all your happy memories. A home lets you choose the way it looks. But a house may not fit your colorful looks. A house may have a roof and four corners that you can stand on. But a home has many rooms that you can safely sleep in. When you open the door of a house you may not like the smell of the old chipped wood and the new fresh paint laying down on all four walls. But a home might smell like your favorite cherry white perfume. Thank you to all the homes that kept me safe!
