Home

To me home is where you can feel safe and loved but it’s also a place where your friends feel safe. A home is where you might have had your first sleepover or even where you took your first steps. I know that I have two homes. I have a home where I was raised and made my first friends. When I was in second grade we moved. I was terrified to have to start over and make new friends. But, you know what, when I moved I was so mad but now I know this is where I belong and that this is my home. I have so many memories in my old home but now I've made new memories. I have so many people that I can talk to if I need, I have an amazing school and peers who made me feel welcome and accepted no matter what. Now I'm in 6th grade and all of them still make me feel welcomed and accepted. Home is when you wake up on a Sunday and your mom might have made cookies and you just know that smell! What matters in a home are the people who are in it.
