Meaning of a Home

Everybody deserves a HOME My home is a place where there is joy, but also sadness and many different families have that . For me this is a place where I help rebuild my happiness, and it is a place where every person should feel safe even when they go through difficult times. Some people don't have any homes and that is not fair. I think everybody deserves a place to call home where they feel all their emotions and can feel safe. My family has gone through a really hard thing that happened. It was an accident that killed one of my family members and his friend. They were working on where my new house was going to be. But now where the accident happened we are going to have a soccer field and an orchard and that's what I meant by rebuilding my happiness, and that is hard work. That's why I am so lucky to have a place to call home and a loving family and we get through those hard times together no matter how hard things get. One thing that is really great about a home is all the smells, like pancakes sizzling in the kitchen. The smell of chicken in the oven before dinner is also comforting. Each room has a different purpose, and then there's your room which is for you and sometimes other people like siblings or pets. I think, no matter what, your area should be yours, and that is your place. Each person should get that in a home. I feel like people who don't have their own space to call home feel kind of lost. That's why I feel so lucky and it's easy to forget how lucky you are to have a home. BY LUCA MOLLOY .
