Home

Home is my happy place. My bed is where I rest my head at the end of a long day. It keeps me warm on cold nights, though sometimes I wish I had more covers. My mom and dad like to tuck me in and say goodnight. My home also includes my shower. Especially after a long day, I love to hop in as long as my brother isn't there first. When I turn on the water, the warm water falling down my face and the nice-smelling shampoo remind me of home. Home is a great place to hang out with my friends, play video games, jump on my trampoline, and have fun. I think of my backyard as part of my home because it has fences around it. Even when it’s cold outside, it feels like a warm hug, as if it’s an extension of my home. At home, I love to make messes with my toys. I also remember the time I accidentally threw a smoothie into the air, leaving a mark on the wall that’s still there today. Every time I see it, it reminds me of home.
