More Than Just Walls

Touch: The hardwood floor feels hard but dense and soft. Taste: My dad is cooking spaghetti, it tastes fresh and spicy. Sound: There are a lot of sounds that make a song; the humming of the washing machine, my sister screaming so loud I think I lost my hearing. Smell: The pungent aroma of food my mom or dad is cooking. Sight: The dazzling interior of our home with pear green wallpaper and modern furniture. MOST IMPORTANTLY, memories are what make a home more than walls and furniture - it’s the experiences; every tear you shed, every laugh you vocalize, every smile you make, every movie you see, the love you feel is felt in your home. Thanks to Habitat for Humanity for teaching people that home is where the heart is.
