Daisy and The Fireflies.
Far, far away, a fairy, named Daisy, had blue fireflies as pets. Daisy and the fireflies would have trouble looking for a comfortable place to call home. Her fireflies would cricket, desperate for food and a roof above their heads. They would have to travel constantly, desperately looking for a place to live in. She searched and searched through forests and clouds, visiting castles and kingdoms, continuing to scatter around large areas.
Just as she was about to give up, a shadow of warmth walked up to her.
“Hello,” The mysterious shadow announced their presence. “I heard you are in need of a home, yes?” Stepping closer, the figure leaned down slightly.
“Oh, yes!” Daisy cheered delightfully, eagerness in her tone. “Have you prized me with one?”
The shadow shook its head. “But I shall grant you shelter for your little fireflies, if...” Gesturing to the flies around her with a nod. “You may complete a quest for me?”
“What quest, to be exact?” Daisy tilted her head to the side with curiosity, looking at the shadow with a gleam in her eyes.
Its head nodded once more as it led her away to a community bakery with all kinds of creatures, elves, fairies, animals, and more.
“Please, volunteer here whenever you can. The more hours you work the more purple tokens you earn.” The warmth nodded and waved at the creatures casually, greeting them with a quiet smile as it spoke. “Gain about 500 tokens and you shall be granted a home for you and your precious fireflies.”
Daisy looked around the bakery, watching the waiters and servers earn tokens with astonishment. The bakery was cozy, but big enough for people to work comfortably. The smell of the room filled her nose, the room smelling like freshly baked toast and pastries. Checkerboard-tiled floors filled the floor behind the counter where they bake. She nodded at the shadow’s words subconsciously, too distracted by how the bakers worked with the ovens and more.
With that, Daisy put on her uniform and started serving customers with a bit of struggle. though she pushed herself to earn tokens like the others who were working. Daisy put all her effort into volunteering to manage a roof under her head, so her fireflies can settle somewhere safely with her as a family, to finally feel like what a cozy environment feels like to live in.
As Daisy began her new volunteering job, her hands trembled with nerves. She fumbled with the tray, hoping no one would notice. Why is this so hard? she thought, her cheeks flushed with frustration. But she could not stop. Her fireflies were counting on her.
While Daisy works, throughout her journey she makes friends and decisions, getting small praises that made her lips curl into a small smile.
Time passes by while Daisy works as a server, having fun and making friends, earning more volunteering tokens. Soon enough she had reached 500, her eyes gleaming with hope as she counted the tokens that lay in her bag.
“497... 498...” Daisy whispered while counting the tokens that now lay on an empty table after closing time. “500!” Exclaiming with a cheer, she earned exactly 500 tokens from volunteering.
Sprinting to the figure, she tapped it on the shoulder and showed it the tokens that lay in her bag. “I earned 500 tokens!” Daisy beamed with a wide grin.
