Wonderful Warmth of home
Home is a place with joy and sorrow,
Home is home whatever happens tomorrow.
Even if you have a tiny home,
With embarrassing little holiday gnomes.
And a little fireplace with little coal,
One can still feel the hospitable warmth of home.
Even if I sail across the sea,
Far from the happy home that belongs to me,
As long as I am with my loving family,
Whatever house I find will become home (I’m sure as can be),
And I will feel that wondrous warmth that fills me with glee.
A house is a boring building that’s soulless and cold,
Home is where you can be brave and bold.
A house is just a passive place,
Home is where you can show your true face .
Home is where you can sing embarrassing songs,
You don’t feel out of place (you still belong).
Home is still home whether you live there short or long,
For it is the people inside that radiate that wonderful warmth all winter long.
The welcoming warmth of home makes you feel strong and safe,
And it can turn any house into a pleasant place.
Home is a place where love abounds,
Home is where abundant joy can be found.
I will forever be happy when I am homeward bound,
Because the wonderful warmth of home keeps me safe and sound.
