My Happy Place

Love, family, joy, and care. These are words that describe my home. My home is my happy place, not specifically my house. My house is a building where I live, a place where I sleep, eat, and bathe. My house has walls, colours, and a roof, but my home is my comfort space because I am constantly surrounded by love. Love is my mom cooking me food, or my siblings giving me a hug. My family is also not the only thing that makes me feel at home. Being with friends or loved ones can also make you feel at home. Every time I feel at home, I feel warm and safe, protected from anything. Home makes me happy, and home isn’t necessarily physically being held or cared for, it is also just like the thought that counts. I love the love in my home because it makes me feel cared for, feel important, and worth something. There is also this one person in my life who makes me feel the most at home. When I’m with them, they make me feel so safe and loved. If I were to pick a person to describe home, I would instantly choose them. They are my home, my happy place.
