Meaning of Home
The meaning of home is something most people don’t understand. But now you will see what home means when you need it most. This story takes place in a small village in the middle of nowhere . where a girl named Madeline lives with her family .
“Mom, what are we having for dinner tonight? “ said Madeline “we are having fish and chips, your favorite ” . Its true fish and chips were her favorite . She was happy to have her favorite and go to sleep in her cozy bed , but little did she know things would not be as happy as she thought . “Madeline grab your stuff we have to go! ” her father said in a panicked voice . “Why do we have to leave?” Then she saw a tornado ripping by the land . Then she ran to her room, packed her clothes , her stuffed animals , her favorite book, then ran out to the car . Her dad drove until they reached the shelter they ran inside and sat for hours and hours . Then the police walked in and said “ all the people are going to homes for the homeless because your houses got destroyed, kids will go to a separate one then adults “. Then Madeline got taken to her new house. “Welcome new kids ” said a smiley looking woman . Madeline saw her new room. It had a weird looking bed , a closet that looks like it's a hundred years old . It did not feel like home. Honestly she felt lonely and sad like she didn't belong. Then she waited for days and days then days turned into months . “How long have you been at this home ?” said a girl named leah at Madeline's lunch table , “six months ” madeline said . Then a week later the news came that her parents were coming to get her! She was over the moon . Then she saw her dads smiling face and felt a wave of relief wash over her . Then she arrived at what she thought was her new home . It felt so good to do everything just the three of them together . She lived there for years in that same house and it felt like a home because she was with the people she loved and felt she belonged . When Madeline left for college she finally realised what home means: it's not a house, a home is a space where you are surrounded by love and happiness and you feel like you belong .
So for Madeline she graduated college, had a family and moved back to her small village where she found happiness, reunited with her favorite people. It truly felt like home and lived happily ever after .
