My Home

Walking into the doorway the smell of fresh air, a place where I feel safe, relaxed, and calm. Where I can rest my body, warmth and comfort runs through my body. Home is a place where I feel welcomed. The kitchen, where there’s food always made and on the table, smelling delicious, the sounds of laughter, a place where we can gather all together, always together. The warm living room right across from the kitchen is where we go to get advice and express my feelings. The fireplace keeps us warm. I love the warmth and smell of the blazing fire that flows through the house. The sound of laughter and the TV playing. The basement is where me and my sister’s rooms are. My room is a place where I can feel warm and comfortable. I slide into my bed to feel cozy for the night where I keep my clothes and things from the old to the new. My sister Megan’s room is just down the long hallway. It's where we can hangout, play games and have laughs with long, serious, or funny conversations. Home, even if it's not perfect, it's always a place where I can go to get shelter and warmth, I’m so grateful for the house I have and loving family. Home is a place for me.
