Shelter from the storm
Home is safe, home is warm, home is shelter from the storm.
At home as I sit on the couch in my living room Watching hockey with my family I look outside, a storm. In here I am safe no matter what is going on out there my family tells me it will be all right, and I know it will. If I had a dreadful day when I'm home, I know it will be okay. My home is small but cozy, my living room has 3 000 records, doesn't bother me though. The smell of home is wood and the ocean breeze blowing through the trees or moms' homemade spaghetti. When I step into my home, I feel a weight being lifted off my shoulders, a sudden calmness. If I feel stressed or frustrated I imagen myself warm and cozy by the fireplace I feel safe. When I'm on vacation I almost forget about home but when I get back, I feel the feeling of home and realis how much I missed it, that familiar smell and feel all the different shapes and sizes of my home. My own special space, my sanctuary. When I walk outside my home, I feel the grass brush agents my feet and hear the waves crash on to the rocks or the birds sing, I feel at home. If I feel like the Intier world is agents me, at home I'm safe and sheltered by my family. When I'm frustrated because I can't get something right my little sister's hugs always make everything better. When I get in an argument with my friends and I can't help being annoyed, I feel better with all the comforts of my home, my family.
Home is safe, home is warm, home is shelter from the storm.
