What is home?

Home does not mean a house, cabin, or mansion, it doesn’t need space, It is an area where you are loved and cared for, a happy place, A home is a loving space, where people treat you well, Not only a structure where you dwell, People are needed in this home of yours, Family to hide with when wild wind roars, A home is a place to be free, A place to share laughter, to be full of glee, So, when I’m telling you this, please listen to me, Not everyone has a home to be free, Not everyone has family to hide with, So, make a donation, You could save a nation, And a person will be thinking tonight, Gazing at the stars that shimmer so bright, I will join the fight, Help all those people that don’t have a bed, Give them a place to rest their head, Give them a home where they’ll be cared for, Be loved, be safe, be free from war, So, to all the children that don’t have a home, Give them a place so they don’t have to roam, Habitat for Humanity, the child’s hero, They prove that no one is a zero, We all deserve a home with love, They make you feel as free as a dove.
