What Home Means To Me

What Home Means To Me Ralph Waldo Emerson once wrote, “A house is built with walls and beams, a home is built with love and dreams”. I couldn't agree with him more. To me, home is watching a movie on the couch with my family, playing video games while drinking hot chocolate, and playing board games. Here are some of my favourite things about my home: family, video games, my dog, blankets and Lego. My home is always loud, awesome, and goofy. Everyone has a home, even if it's small, it is always home. When I come home every day my Mom always gives me a hug. A home is where you feel safe and loved and it will never change. Everybody needs a home because everybody deserves a place to feel comfortable and safe. Home is lying in my bed reading a Calvin and Hobbes book before falling asleep, or sitting on the couch with my dad watching an episode of The Flash on a Thursday afternoon. My home is where I feel loved, appreciated and safe. I am grateful for my home. By Graeme Grade 5
