Home Is My Love
My home’s aroma is like apple crumble on a sunny day,
With a hint of cinnamon, and fresh smushed herbs.
Around the room you see cat hairs floating around,
Along with the scent of dogs.
When everyone gathers for dinner it's like a jungle,
With everyone talking over each other,
excited to share.
As I run upstairs to change, my dog chases me asking for his dinner.
When I feed him,
He plays with his food.
When everyone’s home, smiles fill my heart.
At night it's a challenge for everyone to get to bed.
Each day making a memory,
Some messy, which I don't mind,
And some filled with joy.
Home is not a structure,
Home is the people in it.
