A True Home
I jumped into the car with my suitcase ‘‘we’re finally going to move into a bigger house!’’ I shouted way louder than I should have. I couldn't stop moving. ‘‘Could you be any louder!?’’ My older sister said. I didn't listen to her. ‘‘That should be the last box.’’ I overheard my dad say. I heard the engine roar and as soon as I knew it we were off. I squealed with joy.’’ This is so exciting! ‘’
I said quietly so I didn't wake up my sister.‘‘Mom, what time will we be there?’’ I asked impatiently ‘‘we’ll get there when we get there’’ I knew it would be different but would it be in a good way? Ten minutes later we arrived. “We're here!” I said about 90 times. We opened the door to the house. “Wow,” I said it looked like a mansion to me because I've only lived in a tiny home. I ran up the stairs. There I saw a door. It said Hailey in cursive letters. I opened the door handle. Wow, a bed was in the corner with shelves all over the place. I grabbed my bag and unpacked. ‘’I kinda like my old room better’’ I said. Soon it was bedtime. I tucked myself in and fell asleep instantly. I woke up but something felt different. A week later I noticed that we didn't make memories like in the old house. I went downstairs to tell my mom ‘‘mom I don't like it here, it's too different we’re too spread out’’ ‘’I know sweetie’’ she said. ‘’This is a house not home’’ I said. Mom thought about it, ‘’you’re right’’ ‘’what if we did this.’’ Mom told me her plan and we had dinner, lunch , and breakfast all together.
