The Meaning of Home
What is home? Home is where memories and love are stored. In home there is sweet, sour, and bitter. Sweet is the taste of love and happiness. Sour is the feel of argument, and bitter is the taste of life.
Home feels like being covered in love, home is everyone’s safe haven; all the grievances and sadness can be told. A house and a home have big differences, a house is only a place with four walls, but a home is a place with happiness and peace.
Home looks like my mother is concentrating at work, her back is full of the vicissitudes of life. My mom always said to me “I will always be behind you and support you.” When I heard my mom say this, my eyes watered.
Home feels like help, my dad used to say to me “If you get in trouble, call me. I will always help you.” Home feels like caring, my brother cared about every one of us in our family. One time I asked him “Why is caring important in our family?” He would answer me, “If we do not care about each other, life will never be easy in Canada. We need to care to make a home to support all of us.”
A home without family is just a house with four walls. Home is filled with love and kindness; home is filled with memories. Home is connected to all of our beating hearts.
