Home is where your heart resides Where love surrounds you on all sides Home is what you wish for on a long day And sometimes it seems quite far away Home is what pulls you close Especially when you are quite morose Home is eternally understanding Even in your darkest time it is forever withstanding Home is where your heart can be true Even when your feelings are exceptionally blue Home is as calm as a lake in the evening But when you have a problem it gives you much more reasoning Home is where your heart can rest After you have gone on out a thrilling quest Home is the place that brings you great joy As if you were a child playing with a toy Home is a feeling of great hope Like falling of a cliff and being handed a rope Home is where you go to think while in a daze As you wish it to be always Home is where you feel glee Like someone answering your most desperate plea Home is your favourite place Because it’s a warm and inviting space Home gives a feeling of peace A feeling that might come to you as you watch a flock of geese Home understands you in you most desperate times Like when you’re trying to create a poem that rhymes Home is somewhere that you can confide When you felt guilty that you told a lie
