What Home Means to Me

Home isn't just a house that you eat or sleep in. Home is where you can escape after a long and hard day of work or school. You can find home anywhere and everywhere, whether it's your local park, grocery store, the mall or even just a visit at your friend's house. Home brings warmth and comfort. I could wade through a whole list of good things. Even when home can be tough, sad, and miserable, it can always change for the better, even if it takes a million years. Even at your highs and lows, a home is one thing that will never leave you. Although what I'm saying can be true, home is a gift some people don't have. That is why homes should be cherished and cared for. If you see an empty house, think of it as a home that someone could be living in. It's not just a poor, lonely old house. It's a possibility that someone in need will find a home. I mean, home is where the heart is, as they say, right? Even if i don't win at least i'm writing for a good cause. Thank you, Habitat for Humanity.
