What is the meaning of home?
The meaning of home is different for everyone. For me it’s a feeling that I don’t have to be what other people want me to be, I can just be myself. For some people home is the aroma of your favourite dish cooking on the hot stove.
A house is not a home. A house only keeps you dry, while a home is the feeling you are unstoppable. Being in a house doesn’t make you feel, but sometimes it makes you feel lonely. Unlike a home, a house can be shattered into pieces and destroyed. Well, a home is not a building, it’s a feeling of hope and safety. For some, home is a person or people.
Home is a sanctuary that fills you with hope, love, and peace. It’s always a good time when you feel the feeling of home.
When my mom hugs me, I feel the feeling of home. Her hug is so warm and cozy you never want her to let go. Home is the aroma of candles, but they don’t smell fruity, more like lavender or sage. When I see my dogs, I feel at home. They constantly love me which makes me feel the feeling of home. When I hear my siters arguing I feel at home. Why, your probably thinking, well me and my sisters argue but nicely and I love my sisters, so I feel at home. When I taste strawberries I feel at home, they’re sweet but also sour like a home can be. A home is a place with love to share, where joy and laughter fills the air.
