The Meaning Of Home

Home is where you can feel safe, and comfortable. You will feel safe because you have your family and the people you love around you. You will feel comfortable because you love and you trust that place with your life. It is filled with memories of when you went sledding or fishing with family. A picture on the wall of you on vacation with your family. A house may be secure but a home is just so much more secure than a house. A home is filled with laughter, meaningful hugs, and not-so-lovely arguments. A place where you can put your worries aside and just love everyone. Your favourite dinner sitting at the table and the excitement on your face enjoying every bite. When family comes over and you play your favorite video games with them. And where there are people you love to the moon and back. And people who you trust and pets that you have. A sister or brother getting mad at you for something you did. A place where you can feel hopeful for yourself or your family. A home feels comfortable and you can have a good time. A place where you know that there is no better place than your home. Maybe you might have your baby clothes up on the wall. And this home that you may have is not temporary, it is a forever home that will last forever and ever. And where family can support you if times are tough. The delicious smell of one of your favourite foods. And so, that's what I would call home.
