My Home

A house can be fancy, cool, and neat, But a home is warm and comfy, sweet. A house may be big with lots of space, While a home is fun, no matter the place. When I wake up, my brother and I play, I remember learning hip hop that day. One move was called the Bart Simpson, you see, But I prefer the Homer Simpson move, it’s me! Homer just erases the "r," it's true, And suddenly, it’s "home" instead of "house," too. A home is where you celebrate, laugh, and sing, While a house is the same old, day after day, no zing. A home can be anything you dream, But a house is just four walls, a roof, and a floor, it seems. You can play any sport in a home, But in a house, you're stuck, feeling alone. When you race in a home, you’re bound to win, But in a house, you’ll lose again and again. A home is the best place to study for tests, But a house is filled with noise and rest. In a house, all you hear is the microwave BEEP, At home, you play on the PS5, so deep. In a house, you play with a tiny sprout, But in a home, you can jump, run, and shout. When you crash, there’s no scratch with a home, But in a house, you’re out in a flash, alone.
