The Five Sense of Home

When I think of home I see… my family photographs hung up on the wall, reminding me that they are always there for me When I think of home I hear… laughing around the fireplace when we play board games on a rainy day When I think of home I taste… My mom making her homemade mac n’ cheese, my favourite food whenever I feel down When I think of home I feel… my soft, fluffy cats and dogs who I wouldn’t trade for anything When I think of home I smell… my famous chocolate chip cookies that smell like heaven It doesn’t matter if your home is a mansion, an apartment, or a townhouse. It doesn’t matter if it's made of marble, stone, or wood. A home isn’t what it’s made of or how much it’s worth, it’s about who and what is within it. What makes my house a home are my animals, my family, the love and memories that we have in every room, and the special homemade food we have for meals. This is what home means to me.
