My Warm Home

Sadness, safe love, nostalgic, hurt, powerful, strong. That's what I feel when I'm home. I love home. Home is a place where I'm safe with my family. Loving hugs, heartbreaking news, talking with my parents about my day. Home is about seeing a smile on my mom's face when I'm home after hanging out with friends. My home is more than it was made to be Home is putting my picture day photo up on the fridge. Home is growing up. Home is slamming doors. Home is calling friends and laughing. Home is calm. Home is caring for each other. Home is finding an outfit to wear for school. Home means something to you. Home is in your heart and will always be there with memories, love, and warm hugs. Home to me is saying goodbye, baking with my sister and mom, regretting, and saying thank you. Home is coming back from Florida with pictures and smiles. Home is listening to music. Home is being thankful for all I have. Home is putting a star on the Christmas tree. Home is my dad marking my height on the wall. A house is walls and a roof; a home is love and memories. "Home is the nicest word there is." – Laura Ingalls Wilder. Be grateful for your home and know the difference between a home and a house.
