My Home

My home My home is not just a roof and stairs, It’s a sanctuary where my family cares. Home is a place where friends come together, It will hold special memories forever. Home is a place where my beliefs are heard, And treated with respect, not like something absurd! My home is a cherished personal space, Where I feel comfort, love, and belonged in one place! Home is more than a wooden structure, It’s a place where I can truly embrace my culture. It has walls that are never meaningless or bare, The pictures have stories to share. My home is a cozy den to play, There's nowhere more I would rather stay. Home is an essence I can feel, The kindness from neighbors makes my heart feel real. Home is where I learn what’s right and what's wrong, It’s a nest where I feel happy and strong. Home is where a kind gesture can go a long way, It's a place where I have family time at the end of the day. It’s sad that some people don’t have a home, Because they have to spend their nights alone. They have no table to gather around, Or walls to display things that make them proud. The community around you can join in too, You can volunteer in places near you. It’s not a luxury, It’s a right, A safe, warm home to sleep at night. Thank you, Habitat for Humanity, for being their light, You’re the warriors in this righteous fight, A place for happiness, peace, and memories, A shelter that's accessible to families.
