What Does Home Mean to Me?
My home is where I found love. Home is where I feel secure. There are many scary things around the world. But here in my home nothing can harm me. That’s why my home is not just a building to me, it’s a place where I'm secure.
Home keeps me safe from things that I'm scared of. It keeps me safe from strangers I don't know. I’m scared of a lot of things that I'm scared of, but not in my home.
I have been to two countries. I have lived in one home in the Philippines for ten years, a new home in Canada for eight months. There have been differences. There are a lot of things that have stayed the same.
Weather has changed for me. But I still speak my language. Our food has stayed the same. I feel the same feelings of love, trust, and safety. Home is where I'm secure. And at home nothing can change.
