When You Should Start Calling Home, Home
Some people think of home as a place. Some people think of home as love, like I do.
A house is a place; a home is a connection. A home is smooth. It feels comfy and safe. It's like a cozy pink blanket with fur all over it. It smells like fresh flowers from my Mom’s garden. Home feels like that feeling when your mom and dad kiss you and say good night. Home tastes like my Grandma's fresh out of the oven monster cookies. I do not know how but they make my mouth drool every time. It just makes me sad that 1 in 8 people do not have a safe place to call home
Now let me tell you something. Some days at the end of school my eyes are barely open and my shoulders are slummped, and I walk into my house feeling down. But then I feel this burst of energy. By energy, I meen jumping up and down dancing with my cat, and being extremely crazy. Do you know that feeling when you walk into home and you immediately feel safe? It feels amazing! That is the feeling you should have to call a house, home. If you don't get that feeling you should not call it home.
Imagine sitting in the cold for days, even months and maybe even YEARS. . When I first heard that I almost cried on the spot. Home should be a place where you can be you. You need a good safe home to call home. You should not call home a house, call it a home.
