A True Home

You may think a home is just a place, but it’s a feeling. It’s the warm fuzzy feeling you get when you feel truly happy and loved. I feel at home with my family. I feel at home when I dance. I feel at home when I’m with my Grandma. I feel at home when I’m with my friends. Your home might be your house, a sport, a feeling, a person, or a hobby, but my home, my home is where I feel truly loved. I can talk to anyone about my problems, and I can be myself without worrying what other people think. At home, I can escape the world around me and just be happy. Truly happy. I love my home just as much as I love the people in it. I love getting hugged and talking to people because it just makes me feel happy. You may have a house and not a home, but you always have to hold onto hope that one day you will find your true home. I’m one in a million to have a home and a family who loves me, and I would never take it for granted. We all have battles and we all need people to help us fight them, so I want you to think of anyone in your life, who is that person that helps you with your battles? Is it your mom, teacher, friend, therapist, aunt, grandma? Now go to them, if you can’t, call them, if they don’t pick up, text them, if you can’t, send them a letter. Never let the truly special, loving people in your life leave because trust me, you’ll regret it. I feel connected and I can express my feelings to the world around me. Now that is a home.
